New! Become a member of the Friends of the Bijou!Keep the “Gem of the South” shining!The Bijou Theatre is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, located in the heart of downtown Knoxville. The Bijou is renowned for it’s world-class acoustics and is the ideal venue for up and coming musicians as well as niche artists. The theatre’s intimate space lends itself to weddings, company meetings, and other special events. The theater just completed the Light Up the Bijou Campaign in June 2009, to raise funds for the installation of a blade and marquee. This campaign was met with an outpouring of community support. Be sure to come by the Bijou to see the new signs and to catch a show! Having recently turned 100 years old there is constant upkeep and maintenance necessary to keep the “Gem of the South” in operating condition.
